Deforestation and habitat destruction are a global phenomena, leading to the extinction of species and contributing to a great extent to climate change.

Tierra Madre reforestation and conservation project aims to protect existing mature rainforest, rehabilitate the soil depleted by cattle farming and return it to its original state of perennial jungle.

The objective being the restoration of complete and balanced biodiversity, the focus is about more than planting trees at low cost for an immediate return such as CO2 storage.

We mimic natural processes over a period of 8 years on each plot, commit the land to reforestation forever and ensure that our methods minimize overall disturbances while maximizing benefits for the local wildlife and the ecosystem.

VISION

We are an environmentally focused community pledging to have a real local and global impact in terms of measurable objectives and knowledge building.

Our core activities are the rehabilitation of wildlife and ecosystems and their conservation in both forest and agricultural settings.

The realization of our objectives relies on a dedicated and motivated team, NGOs, private contributions as well as corporate partners.

Collaboration: It is vital to create an environment of collaboration rather than competition. Bringing individuals, organizations and governments together is essential to successfully combat deforestation and worldwide climate change challenges.

Respect: We enforce the respect not only between people but also the relationship we establish with the environment we live in. Understanding we are not more important than any other environment species around us is critical to act in consequence and ethically.

Transparency: We firmly believe that transparency should be at the heart of everything we do, not only because it is one of our team's values, but because it is the only way to bring people together and transmit the soul of our project all around the world.
